Feed Gas / Pressure Regulation
Feed gas regulation control valves for onshore gas facilities
Process
In onshore gas facilities feed gas regulation is the critical inlet valve to the facility. Gas comes from offshore through a long pipeline and both pressure and flow are regulated at the beach head prior to pressure regulation. The feed gas regulation control valves pass gas through a heater to warm the gas up prior to opening the main line valve. This prevents and shock to the downstream pipes and valves. These critical LNG valves have to be able to deal with minimum flows with large pressure drops at time of start-up and normal working conditions have to produce as small a pressure drop as possible to ensure maximum throughputs.
