In another advancement in research and product development, our experts investigated the effects of weld quality on specified material for heavy oil applications. ASTM A182 F347 and F347H material are routinely specified requirements for pipe and valve bodies in heavy oil processing. However, our experts have utilized the latest optical and scanning electron microscopy to research the limits of welding on these materials, which many standard material specifications may overlook.
