The autoclave industry is spread all over the globe in some of the most isolated and harshest environments. A great example is the Pokrovskiy mine, owned by Petropavlovsk PLC, located in the Amursk region in far east Siberia. The project consists of four POx autoclaves, treating flotation concentrate as feed stock. The first autoclave was commissioned successfully in Dec 2018. To date, all four autoclaves have not only been commissioned successfully, but also reached design capacity, which is a major accomplishment in the autoclave industry.
With the site fully operational, MOGAS' Service team took the lead in working with the end user for valve repairs. The Service Department staff provided additional assistance guiding the end user on equipment and tooling required to conduct repairs, training the local staff on the valves and repairs, providing input and guidance on valve testing, offering insight on documentation requirements, test certificates, and basic information to establish a repair trail for every serial number to be repaired in the future.
Petropavlovsk visited MOGAS' headquarters this month. Viktor Fedorov, Petropavlosk development director and chairman, presented MOGAS with a plaque of gratitude for supporting their mining operations. This acknowledgement lays a positive foundation for continued future work with Petropavlovsk and recognizes the significant contribution from the entire team at MOGAS.
