Each year, Texas Monthly magazine profiles the top 100 companies to work for in Texas in a special publication. MOGAS Industries, Inc. ranked number 21 out of 33 medium-size company winners.
Presented by Texas Association of Business (TAB) and the Texas Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the ‘100 Best Companies’ list is designed to recognize the best employers in Texas—the ones that make it a priority to create better workplaces for their employees.
How the 100 Best Companies were selected
Companies that chose to participate completed a two-part survey, including an organizational overview of the company’s policies and procedures, as well as an in-depth employee questionnaire. The survey, analysis and list selection were conducted by Best Companies Group, an independent workplace excellence research firm. Participation was available for for-profit and nonprofit companies with 15 or more employees working in Texas.
The survey results were analyzed and categorized according to eight core focus areas:
- Leadership and Planning
- Corporate Culture and Communications
- Role Satisfaction
- Work Environment
- Relationship with Supervisor
- Training, Development and Resources
- Pay and Benefits
- Overall Engagement
Each company that participated, whether it made the Top 100 list or not, received an Employee Feedback Report. This report included a summary of the employee responses and state benchmarking.
The selected companies are broken into three categories: small (15-99 employees); medium (100-499 employees); and large (500+ employees). MOGAS qualified as a medium-sized company and ranks as number 21, best medium-sized company to work for in Texas. This is MOGAS’ third top 100 listing. In 2016 MOGAS ranked 30 and last year, number 28.
Camille Robinson, VP Global Human Resources, commented on the award: “To be selected again as a Best Company to Work for in Texas is indeed an honor and a distinction for all of us. Our employees made this possible and serves to show that at MOGAS, ‘there’s only one team, and we are all on it!’”
