Application for Trademark Denied; Would Mislead Public

Beijing, China and Houston, Texas — February 14, 2014 — Houston-based valve manufacturer MOGAS Industries, Inc. prevailed in its opposition against the unauthorized attempted registration of their trademark logo by a third party in China.

China’s Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB) agreed with MOGAS’ opposition against a third party infringing their intellectual property. The TRAB, a division of China’s State Administration for Industry & Commerce, denied the third party application by Cai Zi Bo to register the MOGAS logo with the opinion that the coexistence of the marks would likely mislead the public.
