Summary: Responsible for the planning and organization associated with the engineering efforts required to deliver multi-million dollar projects to customers in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Define and plan the scope of services and resources required to meet engineering deliverables

Assist the technical contact between the customer and MOGAS

Review codes and standards to develop understanding of customer requirements, and
communicate them to the Engineering Department for execution

Translates the customer and code requirements into the formats used by the Engineering Department to complete the detailed design to meet the scope of the project order

Develop and update project design plans

Develop and update customer specific material and test plans
-
Develop and update Inspection and test plans
-
Assist with scheduling, tracking and progress reporting on engineering submittals and
deliverables

Effectively keep track of and communicate technical changes in a timely manner to avoid
repetitious design effort

Communicate with customers in a positive manner

Communicate with sales and manufacturing, to prioritize required engineering activities and
integrate them into the overall company plan to execute project orders
Supervisory Responsibilities: Occasionally oversee designers and drafters activities
related to assigned product designs in accordance with the organization's policies and
applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, mentoring, status reporting, planning,
assigning, and directing work.
Qualifications: Able to perform each essential duty & ability satisfactorily with minimal
supervision. Valve engineer with minimum 5 years related experience. Familiar with ASME
B16.34, ASME B&PV, API and NACE. Knowledge of high temperature material properties
Knowledge of thermal spray coating processes. Solidworks 3D CAD package PDM software.
Education / Experience: B.S. in mechanical engineering or mechanical technology from
an accredited college. Five years valve experience.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled in planning, organizing, tracking and adjusting projects with multiple phases involving Engineering and other departments
- Able to articulate assignment status using good technical writing – estimated completion, status, % completion, pending work, reports, issues, mediation, disposition, etc.
- Competent in technical report and specification writing with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Able to work independently in problem solving & analysis applying standard mechanical engineering techniques with minimal supervision and guidance
- Display discipline to fully document problem statement, observations, conclusions, calculations, and recommendations as well as sound problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate firm knowledge of material selection based on service application or corrosion.

Troubleshoot valve problems and create readable and accurate reports with observations, conclusions and recommendations

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
