Summary: Maintains a strong knowledge of the sales process to successfully conduct the inside sales function for MOGAS valve products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of metal-seated ball valve technology as well as their markets and applications; demonstrates a general knowledge of the industrial valve market as a whole
- Promptly and capably responds to incoming telephone inquiries from MOGAS customers and affiliated sales representatives worldwide
- Reviews both basic and complex inquiries, including their technical specifications, to identify and qualify the MOGAS application
- Prepares formal quotes, including appropriate commercial and technical data, for prospective buyers
- Estimates reasonable delivery dates based on a gained knowledge and understanding of the company’s manufacturing process and production schedules
- Demonstrates initiative in collaborating, when necessary, with MOGAS design and manufacturing engineers to ascertain valve sizing, material selection and cost
- Utilizes persuasive sales techniques to successfully close a purchase order once a quotation has been submitted
- Clearly communicates technical features of valves and actuators to existing and prospective customers as well as affiliated representatives
- Follows up with customers on quotations; frequently overcomes objections to negotiate the close of a sale
- Assist with contacting new prospects
- Enters and/or updates new or existing customer information and sales data within the company’s database
- Works closely with customer service to provide department with information once an order has been placed
- Provides sales support to territory managers and outside sales reps
- Helps ensure sales literature is well maintained and current.

Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in valve sales is required. Syteline experience preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathmetical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
