Summary: Responsible for the sale of all valve product lines and services. Communicates with customers and representatives by providing quotations for valves on specific customer requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Reviews both basic and complex customer inquiries and technical specifications to identify and qualify the MOGAS application

Prepares formal quotations including commercial and technical data

Must have an in-depth understanding of metal-seated ball valve technology, its market and applications, as well as a broad understanding of the industrial valve market as a whole

Must have complete understanding of the sales process

Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained

Answers incoming telephone inquiries from MOGAS sales representatives and customers world wide

Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules

As necessary, collaborate with MOGAS design and manufacturing engineers to ascertain valve sizing, material selection and cost

Communicates technical features of valves and actuators to customers, potential customers and representatives

Follows up with customers on quotations, overcome objections and negotiate close of sale

Sells to new and present customers

Closes orders once a quotation has been submitted

Works closely with customer service department to provide information to customer once an order has been placed

Assist territory managers with the close of a sale

Contacts prospects and explains features and merits of products or services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques

Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database

Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date

Qualifications: MUST have valve experience
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate a computer to compile, type, revise, combine, edit, print and store documents. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Education and / or Experience: Educated to GCSE and A level qualifications; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
